The side fins have a large base for serious drive, acceleration, speed and power off the bottom, more along the lines of a large fin template. The trailer fin of this set up is slightly smaller than the sides, giving it an instantly more lively feel, rapid release off the top and a nice rake for arcing carves putting it on rail.
When designing this fin set, Ian Battrick and Lunasurf wanted to develop a fin set that was a progressive template for all conditions, enhancing your enjoyment and performance through your whole quiver.
Drive, release and control - the wider base gives drive, accompanied by a highly refined tip providing release, response, along with great hold suiting fast and explosive surfing
CONSTRUCTION: Built with a lightweight hexagonal core that provides a glass-on like flex. Honeycomb have a medium flex pattern, stiffer than Blackstix but more flexible than glass and Techflex.
FOIL: Flat foiled fins break free sooner, and are better at controlling speed. Often surfers prefer them in fast powerful surf where they do not need to create additional speed. If you have muscle memory from riding glass-ons, flat foiled fins will feel the closest.
